Who We Are:  Team Hope is an Irish, Christian and child-focused international development organisation.  Founded in 2010, our mission is to work with communities to transform children’s lives by tackling poverty and inequality.  We currently work in 12 countries across Africa and Eastern Europe.

What We Do:  Our largest programme, the Christmas Shoebox Appeal, sees children and communities from across Ireland fill a shoebox with gifts which Team Hope through its partners then deliver to a child affected by poverty in countries in Africa or Eastern Europe.  In Ireland, we are lucky to receive the support of hundreds of committed volunteers, schools, churches and corporate partners.
Team Hope also works to address the structural causes of poverty through a range of sustainable development programmes in the various countries where we operate.  We also engage schoolchildren in Development Education with our Confirming Hope resource which seeks to raise awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals as part of the Catholic Confirmation Curriculum.

What We’re Looking For:  We are looking for someone passionate and enthusiastic about working with volunteers and promoting the benefits of great volunteer involvement. You should demonstrate experience working with community partners and other stakeholders. You should possess excellent communication skills and be well organised and attentive to detail. You should have experience of volunteering principles and practice. The ideal candidate can demonstrate inspiring leadership including coaching, team development, motivation, communication and setting direction. Importantly you must believe and lead for the ethos and work of Team Hope.
