In a country where the total annual production of food would only cover for 55 days per person per year*, our partners, ARM, have a vision to improve the lives of those in their rural communities, by supporting them to overcome poverty.

We are thrilled that this year we have received 44,749 online Christmas Shoeboxes which have been delivered to children in 13 countries across Africa and Eastern Europe.

The project’s aim is to strengthen our partners capacity to advocate and mobilize communities towards elimination of stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV/AIDS and to provide education to rural populace to achieve zero new infections.

The first of this year’s Christmas shoeboxes are being put together as we speak! Our partners in Rwanda & Transnistria have been busy sourcing all of the contents and reviewing the lists of the things you’ve added on our build-a-box page!

Whether you send it to someone far away that you sadly can't hug this year or give it to your next door neighbour to thank them for their support over the last year, it will definitely warm their heart to know that you've given a child the gift of joy this Christmas.

The boxes will be wrapped and ready to deliver at Christmas!

Lorna has been a dedicated volunteer of the Christmas Shoebox Appeal for many years and because this year is so different Lorna has found a whole new way to support the appeal.

Keelin O'Connor has committed to running a whopping 100km in one month in aid of Christmas Shoeboxes. It's not an easy time of year to commit to a daily run so THANK YOU Keelin- every single child who receives one of your shoeboxes will be grateful beyond what you will ever know!
