Our Volunteers

We thank our individual volunteers with all of our hearts, those we have met, those we have heard so much about but haven’t yet had the chance to met and those who prefer to support anonymously, we are so grateful to you all. We wish we could list the name of everyone who contributed to this incredible appeal, whether you gave an hour or 100 hours (or more!).

We’re extremely grateful to our national drop off partners, in particular to Dealz, Poundland & Drop Inn Ministries; as well as Toymaster, First Stop and all our independent drop offs points across the country for their involvement the Appeal this year. We are always overwhelmed by the incredible support of businesses and groups that get involved and this year was no exception.

Corporate Giving

Once again, our Appeal was supported by some truly amazing staff volunteers from companies like Salesforce, Apple Inc., Guidewire, KPMG, Mastercard and Medtronic, all of whom donated gift-filled shoeboxes, volunteered in our checking centres or made Matching Gifts to Team Hope. There were also hundreds of other individuals who gave their time freely and supported us to make this year such a success.

Partners

There are so many people behind the complex logistics involved from the moment a donor drops off a Christmas Shoebox to the moment a child receives their shoebox gift. We will also never take for granted the hard work and dedication of companies like Evertex Coatings that aids Team Hope in the collection of thousands of cartons of Christmas Shoeboxes around Ireland.  Similarly, our thanks go to Duffy’s and to Mission and Relief Logistics for their help and support in ensuring all the trucks and shipping containers were in the right places at the right time.

Our Supporters

As always our Ambassadors champion our Appeal and help us spread our message of hope.  They encourage so many people across Ireland to get involved in the Appeal.  We are so grateful to our ambassador, Jacqui Hurley and to Rebecca Rose Quigley, Vadim McEvoy and so many other amazing people for all they have done for Team Hope this year to support us in our work.

Our Oversea’s In-Country Partners

Our special thanks also go to our partners in the countries where we send your Christmas Shoebox gifts.  The dedication and devotion to their work as they distribute those gifts to the children they live and work alongside can never be under estimated.  They too are volunteers and we are truly grateful to them for all their support and hard work.  They distribute the shoebox gifts in some of the harshest and most dangerous conditions, sometimes travelling for several hours to reach the most remote villages where the needs are the greatest.  They know that every gift is special, so they go above and beyond every day to ensure each gift is delivered safely into the hands of the thousands of children they meet.  With your kindness and their help we all work together to help put those wonderful smiles on their faces.

Our group of Super Knitters across the country knit and crochet all year round and created some truly astounding fillers.  Every person is truly valued and we will never forget what you do for us.
